Public Benefits

Saint Anthony Hospital links families to health insurance and community resources.

Saint Anthony Hospital's Community Wellness Program provides information, assistance, and advocacy to families applying for many public benefits, like health insurance. Some public benefits are available regardless of immigration status, and citizenship applications are not affected by receiving health insurance or food benefits for which one is eligible.

Our Community Wellness Program can provide information on many public benefits and community resources in addition to the ones listed below.

We do our best at accommodating individuals walking into our Little Village or North Lawndale offices for assistance. To be assured of meeting with one of our public benefits specialists, please schedule an appointment by calling 773.523.5079 (Little Village) or 773.522.5299 (North Lawndale) prior to coming to our offices.

The Act requires every individual to have some type of health insurance. Our Community Wellness Program has staff who are very knowledgeable about the Affordable Care Act and can answer questions about coverage and link individuals to resources so that they find the insurance plan that is right for them. Individuals may also be able to get financial assistance from the government to make this new health insurance affordable.
